Sepaform W water based shutter release agent for plywood and steel formwork by MATEX

    Sepaform W

    Water Based Shutter Release Agent

SEPAFORM W is a water-based, environmentally friendly formwork release agent composed of synthetic oils, emulsifying agents, and performance additives. It provides excellent anti-adhesive properties and clean release on various formworks, including plywood, timber, synthetic materials, and steel. Suitable for vertical and horizontal applications, SEPAFORM W minimizes surface staining and produces smooth, consistent concrete finishes. It adheres well to rough, lacquered, or smooth formwork surfaces, helping preserve surface detail and extend the lifespan of formwork. Easy to apply and biodegradable, SEPAFORM W supports sustainable construction while ensuring efficient demolding in both standard and decorative concrete applications.

    How to Apply Sepaform W

Sepaform W is a water-based release agent applied to clean formwork before each casting.

    1. Prepare the formwork. The formwork surface must be clean, dry and free from oil or grease, contamination and cement spatter.
    2. Stir. Gently stir immediately before use to ensure uniformity of the material as supplied.
    3. Apply. Apply Sepaform W directly to the formwork by brush, roller or spraying machine. Apply it at least two hours before casting in normal application.
    4. Avoid over-application. Do not over-apply Sepaform W; excess material can mix with the concrete and affect the surface appearance.
    5. Recoat between uses. After every use, clean the shutter and recoat it lightly with Sepaform W before the next casting.
    6. Clean tools. Clean used tools and equipment with detergent and water.
