    Shutter Release Agent Based on Vegetable Oils

    SEPAFORM OIL is a vegetable oil-based formwork release agent enhanced with active ingredients and additives to provide superior demolding performance. It forms a water-repellent, oil-phobic barrier that prevents moisture absorption and corrosion, particularly on metal formwork. SEPAFORM OIL produces smooth, stain-free concrete finishes and is suitable for timber, steel, and synthetic surfaces.     How to Apply Sepaform Oil

    Sepaform Oil is a ready-to-use release agent applied to clean formwork before each casting.

    1. Prepare the formwork. The formwork surface must be clean, dry and free from oil or grease, contamination and cement spatter.
    2. Stir. Stir the drum contents very well before application. The product is ready to use directly; do not dilute with water or solvents.
    3. Apply. Apply Sepaform Oil directly to the formwork by brush, roller or spraying machine. Apply it at least two hours before casting in normal application.
    4. Pre-treat new timber. New unsealed timber formwork needs a one-time pre-treatment of two coats before first use to reduce surface absorbency and extend its useful life.
    5. Avoid over-application. Do not over-apply Sepaform Oil; excess material can mix with the concrete and affect the surface appearance.
    6. Recoat between uses. After every use, clean the shutter and recoat it lightly with Sepaform Oil before the next casting.
    7. Clean tools. Clean used tools with water.

    Approx. 14 m² per liter on porous surfaces, 20 m² on semi-porous surfaces and 40 m² on smooth surfaces. Coverage depends on site conditions.

    What formwork can Sepaform Oil be used on?

    It is used on plywood, precast concrete and metal formwork, in slip form or sliding form systems, and for vertical and horizontal formwork. Do not use it with gypsum or polystyrene forms.

    How long before casting should Sepaform Oil be applied?

    Apply it at least two hours before casting in normal application. Drying time is 2 hours at 25°C.

    How is Sepaform Oil packaged and what is its shelf life?

    Sepaform Oil is supplied in 200 liter drums. It can be used within 24 months of production when stored unopened in dry conditions away from direct sunlight and high humidity.
