    MEGASEAL EPP is a heavy-duty, two-component epoxy polyurethane sealant designed for demanding sealing applications. Combining the flexibility of polyurethane with the toughness of epoxy, it offers excellent abrasion, chemical, and weather resistance. MEGASEAL EPP is self-levelling for easy horizontal applications and forms a resilient, watertight seal ideal for heavy-traffic zones like warehouses, chemical plants, and wastewater facilities. It adheres strongly to concrete and masonry, withstands wheel loads, and resists harsh conditions.     How to Apply Megaseal Epp

    Megaseal EPP is a two-part, self-levelling epoxy-modified polyurethane sealant poured into prepared, primed (if needed) and backed horizontal joints.

    1. Prepare the joint. Joint faces must be dry, smooth, clean and free from dust, laitance and loose material; clean with compressed air or a wire brush. New concrete should be cured with moisture not exceeding 4%, and damaged edges repaired with MATEX repair products and allowed to cure.
    2. Prime if needed. Primer is not required on sound, clean, totally dry joints. Otherwise apply a thin coat of Megaprime on porous or Megaprime SP on non-porous faces before installing the backer rod, and let it become tack free.
    3. Mask and back. Mask the joint edges. Install Megaseal Cord closed-cell backer rod at least 20% but not more than 33% larger than the joint width, or polyethylene bond breaker tape where depth is limited and in construction or contraction joints, keeping width twice the depth for joints over 13 mm and equal for joints under 13 mm.
    4. Mix. Homogenize component A for one minute with a low-speed mixer, add part B while mixing and mix at 200–300 rpm for 4 minutes, scraping the sides and keeping the blade submerged. Let it rest 3 minutes, tapping the container with a wooden spatula to release air.
    5. Pour and tool. Fill the joint continuously without gaps, let the sealant settle, remove excess from the sides and tool to a smooth finish without soapy water or other liquids. Remove the masking tape immediately after finishing.
    6. Cure and clean. Initial cure is 24 hours and full cure 7 days at standard conditions. Clean tools with Armosolvent immediately, before the product dries.

    What joint widths can Megaseal EPP be used in?

    Megaseal EPP may be applied in joints 6 to 40 mm wide accommodating movement of ±10%. Width should be twice the depth for joints wider than 13 mm, and equal to the depth for joints narrower than 13 mm.

    How do I calculate Megaseal EPP consumption?

    Sealant consumption per linear meter = (W x D) / 1000, where W is joint width and D joint depth in mm. Megaseal EPP is supplied in 4 liter two-part kits.

    Can Megaseal EPP take vehicle traffic?

    Yes. It is load bearing under heavy wheel loads and used in car park joints, warehouses, loading bays and heavy industrial floors. Initial cure is 24 hours and full cure 7 days.
