    How to Apply Megaseal Acryl

Megaseal Acryl is a ready-to-use water based acrylic sealant gunned or troweled into a prepared, masked joint and smoothed with a damp sponge.

    1. Prepare the joint. Joint surfaces should be sound, clean, dry and free from loose material, laitance, dirt, oil and grease, with concrete fully cured. Clean the joint with hand mechanical tools and re-profile damaged edges with a MATEX concrete repair product if needed.
    2. Prime porous surfaces. On very porous or very dry substrates, prime with Megaseal Acryl thinned with 25% water. The product itself is ready to use; do not add water or any ingredient for the sealant coat.
    3. Mask and back. Fix masking tape to the sides of the joint to protect the edges, and make sure any joint filler or backing rod is tightly packed.
    4. Apply. Extrude the sealant directly into the joint with a manual caulking gun or spatula, ensuring full contact with the joint faces and avoiding air bubbles and gaps.
    5. Tool and clean. Smooth the sealant surface with a clean sponge wet with water. Clean tools with water before the material hardens.
