    Rapid Setting Cementitious Water Plugging Mortar

    HYDROPLUG is a rapid-setting, cementitious, expanding mortar designed for instant plugging of active water leaks in concrete or rock structures such as tanks, basements, tunnels, manholes, pipes, and chambers. Easy to use by simply mixing with clean water, HYDROPLUG delivers rapid water stopping performance and strong bonding to concrete substrates. It is chloride-free and non-toxic. With low exotherm properties, it minimizes thermal cracking, ensuring safe and durable repairs. Ideal for quick plugging of studs, anchorages, and other critical points, it provides enhanced working time for further injection or permanent repair works.

    How to Apply Hydroplug

    Hydroplug is mixed with clean water in small quantities and pressed into the leak by hand or spatula, where it sets in about 60 seconds at 25°C.

    1. Prepare the leak. Clean the area of loose concrete and contamination by mechanical means such as chisel and hammer, exposing the aggregate for good bonding. Chisel holes, cracks and fissures wide enough for anchorage, and chisel out the leaking spot to a depth of 2 cm, removing all loose material.
    2. Mix. Add powder to clean water in controlled quantities in a small container and mix by hand with a clean spatula or mixing ruler to a homogeneous mix. Mix only what can be applied immediately and do not add extra water once it starts to harden.
    3. Relieve running water. If the crack has running water, drill a relief opening to reduce pressure. For large openings, work from the sides to the center.
    4. Press into the leak. Let the reaction start for a few seconds, then force the paste into the crack by hand or metal spatula and hold pressure for 60 seconds. If a relief hole is not possible, first press a dense paste in as a stopper until it sets, then apply more paste directly to the crack and hold for 60 seconds.
    5. Finish and clean. Setting may take longer than 60 seconds depending on leak volume and temperature. Flush away cuttings and dirt, and clean tools with clean water before the product hardens.
