HYDROBIT RB15 is a high-performance, cold-applied, water-based, SBS rubberized bituminous membrane designed for superior waterproofing protection. It combines selected bitumen with a high content of polymer additives, creating a flexible, seamless, and durable barrier. HYDROBIT RB15 is ideal for waterproofing wet areas like kitchens, bathrooms, concrete footings, retaining walls, cement sheets, and facades. It offers excellent vapor permeability, chemical resistance, and reduced chloride penetration. Once cured, it forms a highly elastic coating that accommodates structural movements. Easy to apply even on damp surfaces, it provides long-lasting protection against harsh conditions, including salty water and chemical exposure.

How to Apply Hydrobit Rb15
Hydrobit RB15 is a ready-to-use SBS rubberized bitumen emulsion, normally applied in two coats by roller, brush, trowel or spray.
- Prepare the surface. All surfaces should be sound, clean, dry and free from loose material, efflorescence, laitance, curing compounds, dirt, oil and grease. Cut and reseal blisters in asphalt or roofing and remove loose chippings. Old concrete and steel must be structurally sound.
- Prime porous surfaces. Prime porous surfaces with Hydrobit diluted 1:2 with clean water.
- Mix. Hydrobit RB15 is a single-component, ready-to-use emulsion. Shake the barrel well to mix any settled material before application.
- Apply the first coat. Apply by roller, trowel, brush or spray at 2 to 4 m² per liter per coat (the TDS coverage section; the application section states 3 to 5 m² per liter per coat). It may be applied to damp but not wet surfaces; dampen brushes before and during use, and in hot, dry weather dampen the surface.
- Apply the second coat. Once the first coat is completely dry, apply the second coat at right angles to the first to avoid air bubbles. Two coats are recommended for roller or brush application.
- Sand blinding (optional). To provide a key for tiles on screed or plaster, or protection against foot traffic, broadcast clean sand onto the second coat while it is still tacky.
- Backfill below-ground work. On footings, Hydrobit RB15 can be applied to green concrete immediately after removing the shutter, acting as a curing membrane. Backfill only once the final coat is totally dry, without damaging the coating.
- Clean tools. Clean all tools with clean water before the product hardens.
