    Epoxy Grout

Epocrete GP general purpose flowable three-component epoxy grout by MATEX

    Epocrete Gp

    General Purpose Flowable Epoxy Grout

EPOCRETE GP is a three-component, solvent-free epoxy grout engineered for gap widths from 10 to 100 mm, delivering high mechanical strength, excellent flowability, and long-term durability. When components A (resin), B (hardener), and C (graded filler) are combined, the result is a self-leveling, non-shrinking grout ideal for precision grouting under heavy machinery and baseplates. It offers superior compressive, tensile, and flexural strength, exceptional adhesion, and resistance to thermal fluctuations, vibration, and chemical attack. Designed to perform under dynamic loads, it ensures equipment stability with low creep and consistent load transfer. EPOCRETE GP is especially suited for industrial environments requiring early strength gain and lasting alignment retention.

    How to Apply Epocrete Gp

Epocrete GP is a three-component, solvent-free epoxy grout placed into leak-proof formwork as a self-leveling pour.

    1. Prepare the concrete. All surfaces must be dry, clean, and free from oil, grease, water, paints and dust. Remove unsound concrete; the concrete should be sufficiently cured. The concrete must be totally dry when the grout is poured, as a wet surface might cause de-bonding.
    2. Prepare steel surfaces. Steel should be free of rust or contamination. Sand blast or grind the steel and protect it with Armoprime EP100 solvent-free epoxy primer to stop rusting starting again.
    3. Build leak-proof formwork. Construct leak-proof formwork, sealing beneath it and between joints with foam rubber strip or mastic sealant if needed. Use a feeding hopper to provide a hydrostatic head of grout.
    4. Mix the full kit. Stir the base resin and hardener separately for two minutes, pour all of Part B into Part A and mix for 2–3 minutes. Slowly add Part C (filler) while mixing for a further 2–3 minutes to a uniform color without incorporating air. Mix the whole kit with a slow-speed drill and paddle; never mix partially or by hand.
    5. Pour from one side. Pour from one side of the formwork only, across the shortest distance, keeping a constant head of preferably at least 15 cm on the pouring side. Allow 10 cm clearance between the side of the form and the base plate.
    6. Work within pot life. Use the mix within its pot life (45 minutes at 25°C) and discard material that has started to stiffen. Do not apply below 5°C ambient; shade the work area and tools in hot weather.
    7. Clean tools. Clean tools and equipment immediately after use with Armosolvent. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What gap widths is Epocrete GP designed for?

Epocrete GP is formulated for grouting gap widths from 10 to 100 mm. The technical table lists a minimum grout depth of 10 mm and a maximum grout depth of 300 mm.

What is the pot life of Epocrete GP?

Pot life is 45 minutes at 25°C. It shortens dramatically at high temperature, so shade the working area and keep tools in shade.

How much does a 30 kg kit of Epocrete GP yield?

Epocrete GP achieves 15.0 liters of wet mixed grout per 30 kg set, supplied as base, hardener and filler.

What chemicals is Epocrete GP resistant to?

The TDS rates chemical resistance as excellent to oil, grease, mild acid, alkalis, water and most industrial chemicals.

How should Epocrete GP be stored and what is its shelf life?

Store in dry, covered conditions at 25°C, protected from direct sunlight and extreme temperature. Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture in an unopened container.
