Cemcure SB resin based non-yellowing concrete curing and sealing compound by MATEX

    Cemcure Sb

High Efficiency Resin Based Concrete Curing Compound

CEMCURE SB is a resin-modified, non-yellowing curing compound formulated for high curing efficiency and durable surface protection. When applied to freshly cast concrete, it creates a tough, clear film that minimizes moisture evaporation, supporting ideal cement hydration and strength gain. This dual-function product cures and seals simultaneously, resulting in an abrasion-resistant, dust-free finish. Its non-yellowing, moisture-impermeable film enhances surface resistance to oil, grease, chemicals, and wear. Ideal for exposed concrete surfaces, CEMCURE SB delivers long-term performance, particularly in demanding environments where aesthetics and durability matter.

    How to Apply Cemcure Sb

Cemcure SB is a ready-to-use curing compound applied to fresh concrete as soon as surface water has evaporated.

    1. Stir. Gently stir Cemcure SB immediately before use. It is ready to use; do not add water or solvent. The product is flammable: avoid direct sunlight and high temperatures.
    2. Time the application. Apply Cemcure SB after the cement has set, immediately after the surface water has evaporated, when there is no bleed water and no surface sheen. Never apply on concrete that has started to dry out. On vertical elements, apply immediately after formwork removal.
    3. Apply. Apply uniformly by paint roller, soft bristled broom or spraying machine. Apply at 7.0-9.0 m² per liter. Do not apply in rain, in direct sunlight at high temperatures, or in poorly ventilated areas. Increase the rate in hot or windy weather.
    4. Protect the film. Do not apply water to the coated surface, and avoid compaction or vibration close to treated areas, which breaks the film.
    5. Check subsequent finishes. Subsequent floor or wall finishes can be applied over concrete treated with Cemcure SB, but check adhesion with a site trial test first.
    6. Clean tools. Clean equipment promptly with Armosolvent before the product dries.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the coverage of Cemcure SB?

Cemcure SB covers 7.0-9.0 square meters per liter depending on porosity and texture of the surface.

What is the curing efficiency of Cemcure SB?

Curing efficiency is 90% or more, with moisture loss below 0.55 kg/m². Drying time is 2 hours.

Does Cemcure SB also seal the concrete?

Yes. It cures and seals freshly placed concrete in one application, acting as a dust proofer and improving resistance to chemicals, oil, grease and abrasion.

When should Cemcure SB not be applied?

Not on concrete that has started to dry out, on rainy days, in direct sunlight at high temperatures, or in poorly ventilated areas. Concrete containing calcium chloride will look dark when treated.

How is Cemcure SB packaged and stored?

It is supplied in 20 liter pails and 200 liter drums. Store between 10°C and 30°C away from direct sunlight; shelf life is 12 months in unopened original packing.
