Cemcure AR water based acrylic curing compound sprayed on fresh concrete slab by MATEX

    Cemcure Ar

Water Based Acrylic Concrete Curing Compound

CEMCURE AR is a water-based, acrylic-emulsified concrete curing compound designed to optimize curing conditions. It forms a continuous film on freshly placed concrete that reduces rapid moisture loss, enabling proper cement hydration and improving strength and durability. Environmentally friendly and low in VOCs, it’s suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The cured surface also benefits from dust-proofing and light sealing. Easy to apply and fast-drying, CEMCURE AR replaces traditional water-curing methods, reducing labor and associated costs while enhancing long-term concrete performance.

    How to Apply Cemcure Ar

Cemcure AR is a ready-to-use curing compound applied to fresh concrete as soon as surface water has evaporated.

    1. Stir. Stir Cemcure AR well before each application. It is ready to use; do not dilute with water. Do not apply below 5°C.
    2. Time the application. Apply Cemcure AR after the cement has set, immediately after the surface water has evaporated, when there is no bleed water and no surface sheen. Never apply on concrete that has started to dry out. On vertical elements, apply immediately after formwork removal.
    3. Apply. Apply uniformly by paint roller, soft bristled broom or spraying machine. Apply at 0.15-0.2 liter per m² and avoid puddling; brush or roll out any puddles. It shows a bluish cast when first applied and dries clear. Increase the rate in hot or windy weather.
    4. Protect the film. Do not apply water to the coated surface, and avoid compaction or vibration close to treated areas, which breaks the film.
    5. Remove film before finishes. Before subsequent coatings, tiling or plaster, remove any remaining film (water jet, light sand blast or electric steel brush) and carry out a site adhesion trial.
    6. Clean tools. Clean tools with water and detergent before the product dries.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the coverage of Cemcure AR?

Cemcure AR covers 6-8 square meters per liter depending on surface porosity and texture. The application section gives a rate of 0.15-0.2 liter per m².

When should Cemcure AR be applied?

After the cement has set, immediately after surface water has evaporated and the surface sheen has gone. On walls and columns, apply immediately after removing the formwork.

What is the drying and recoat time of Cemcure AR?

Drying time is 1-2 hours and recoat time is 2-4 hours.

Does Cemcure AR need to be removed before tiling or coating?

Yes. Epoxy, polyurethane, bituminous and acrylic coatings, latex modified tile adhesives and cement plaster can only be applied after the cured film is removed, followed by a site adhesion trial.

How is Cemcure AR packaged and stored?

It is supplied in 20 liter jerry cans and 200 liter drums. Store between 10°C and 30°C away from direct sunlight; shelf life is 12 months in unopened original packing.
